Lovely Punta de Tralca
where I came to look for
relief to my great sorrow.
When I observe
this little part of the immense ocean
I stay ruptured contemplating
the coming and going of the waves
which are like a caress
to our eyes.
It seems to me that I am talking with the waves,
and I hear them asking me: why such a great sorrow?
Lovely sea waves that take the anguish away,
how I wish I could answer your questions,
but I must keep silent biting my pain.
When I come back every day to admire
your beauty and the waves coming and going,
I feel a peace that embrace my heart.
And I can only say "Thanks" to God
for having given such a beauty
to this stretch of sea, such a marvelous place
where our distresses find rest.
